Good News - North Korea to Give up Nuclear Weapons

Comments

I'm not sure we should be adopting this blinkered view of exactly which countries are "worrying" the world. It's interesting to note that a few years ago, when discussing the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court -- a multilateral treaty according to which ratifying states agree to allow crimes arising out of certain situations to be brought before the ICC -- it was the United States of America that vociferously insisted that the use of nuclear weaponry not be included as an international crime.
Seems to me that Iran is hardly the only remaining threat to the world.
[this is good]
This is a great start, but we are a long way from world peace. I do agree that
nuclear weapons are the greatest threat, because of the devastation on a massive level they can cause.
That blinkered view as you put it is often caused by a country threatening to blow up another country, for instance Iran.

Regardless it is good news S. Korea and N. Korea are working things out.
That's grat news. However, I wouldn't give Condoleeza Rice ANY credit for the situation.
